Meet our 2021/2022 Team!
Macey Spilman
President
Hello everyone! I am Macey Spilman, the President of LMA, and it’s my third year on the Executive Team for LMA. On campus, I am also involved in Women in Business and Society for Human Resource Management. I’m double majoring in Human Resources and Spanish with certificates in IO Psych and International Business. I really enjoy traveling and being immersed in different cultures, and I’m looking forward to studying abroad in the fall of 2022 before graduating that December. UNI has been a great fit for me because of all of the opportunities and the ability to get involved and make an impact as well as meeting a ton of amazing people! I am looking forward to the variety of opportunities for personal growth and professional development!
Emily Howke
VP of Professional Development
My name is Emily, and I’m a senior Economics major graduating in December 2021. I attended the University of Iowa my freshman year, but I transferred to UNI as a sophomore because I loved the welcoming environment and smaller class sizes. I’m involved in LMA, student sustainability engagement committee, and the pre-law club. I enjoy reading and cooking as well as many outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, camping, and cycling. I’m excited for the semester and to watch LMA continue to grow!
Kara Harris
VP of Communications
My name is Kara and I am a senior majoring in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources also receiving my Industrial Organizational certificate. I am the VP of Communication for LMA and the treasurer for SHRM. I chose UNI after completing my Associates degree at Hawkeye Community College because of their great business program! I look forward to having another great year in LMA connecting with people from the Cedar Valley, volunteering and having social events! I currently have an internship at CBE Companies here in Cedar Falls as a Human Resource Intern! I have been there since April and I enjoy working alongside the entire HR department. Currently, I am job shadowing the recruiters and conducting prescreens with them and I’m so eager to learn more knowledge on the recruiting side of HR!
Jaycee Knight
VP of Fundraising
Hey guys, my name is Jaycee Knight and I am a sophomore Accounting major. I chose UNI because it is far enough away from home, but yet close enough I can still visit. I also chose UNI because of the prestigious reputation of our accounting department and the CPA pass rates. I am involved on campus in LMA and also the Accounting Club. This is my first year being on the executive team for LMA, and I am excited to see what we can accomplish! In my free time I love working out, hanging out with friends and family, and cooking! I am so excited to have a great year doing many activities, volunteer opportunities, and professional/ personal development through LMA!
Mason Fritz
VP of Marketing
My name is Mason Fritz and I am a sophomore majoring in finance and real estate. I chose UNI because of the great business program and the small school feel with large school opportunities. I am a member of the finance club, leadership and management association, and I am involved in intramural sports. I like to watch and play sports and spend time with friends. This is my first year as a member of the LMA Executive Team, and I am excited for this year!
Kanner Bauer
VP of Finance
Hello, my name is Kanner Bauer and I am a second year student majoring in accounting. I chose to come to UNI because of the wide variety of opportunities it has to offer. I am involved in the accounting club, LMA, and intramural sports. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to group events, and playing/watching sports. This is my first year on the LMA Executive Team, and I am very excited to meet new people and grow professionally.
Megan McDonald
VP of Recruitment
Hi, I’m Megan McDonald and one of the VPs of Recruitment for LMA. I’m a senior majoring in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources. I am also involved on campus with the Society for Human Resource Management. UNI has been the perfect fit for me because of its reputable business program, the numerous opportunities to get involved and grow, and the best of friends I’ve made. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of studying abroad in Costa Rica in January before graduation in May! I enjoy spending time with friends and family, meeting new people, traveling, volunteering, being outdoors, playing cards, and baking.
Bailey Fah
VP of Recruitment
I’m Bailey, a junior majoring in Human Resources and minoring in Theatre. One of the reasons I chose UNI was because I fell in love with the campus and the many opportunities for me to get involved in as a student. I’m now involved in several student organizations including, LMA (VP of Recruitment), SHRM, Panther Marching Band (Recruitment Manager), Student Admissions Ambassadors, and the Program Coordinator for the Mascot Program. I have a passion for working with people, public speaking, and doing all kinds of volunteer work. LMA provides me with an opportunity to do these things and more!

My name is Macy and I am a senior double majoring in Supply Chain Management and MIS, graduating in May 2022. I was drawn to UNI four years ago because of its close-knit campus size and it's the reputable business program! On campus, I have gotten involved in many organizations such as LMA, Women in Business, and SCMA. Outside of school and my campus involvement, I love to be around friends, watch new movies, play with my dog, Charlie, and anything involving Target! This is my first year on the exec team and I am excited to be a part of the team! I look forward to meeting different people and participating in the great events planned for this year!
Paige Walker

Hi everyone, my name is Paige Walker and I am a senior majoring in Accounting and Finance. I chose UNI for the welcoming community and the highly regarded business program. Through the school I am involved in LMA, Women in Business and Accounting Club. In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Some of my hobbies include playing sports, watching tv shows, going for walks, playing piano, and painting. I am eager to kick off another school year and I am looking forward to meeting new people!
